I started beekeeping about 40 years ago in the backyard in suburban Melbourne. It was the start of a lifelong hobby that has filled us with much joy and an appreciation of the role these fascinating creatures play in nature. Now we live in the Barrabool Hills, on our property Meleebee (Melee is honey in Greek) and over the years we've enjoyed keeping our bees and all that entails: driving the countryside to find bee sites, harvesting and extracting the honey, and yes we even enjoy the hands on of making boxes and wiring the frames. These days we have a little more time on our hands, so we are devoting more time to our bees. Not only tending our bees but getting involved in selling bee equipment, as we are keen to share our knowledge and to help and encourage budding beekeepers.
The beekeeping equipment we have for sale is predominantly for the backyard/small beekeeper and we look forward to talking bees with you....
